Svein E. Johnstad - CEO
Svein has more than 30 years oil industry experience working in exploration, production and research. He has published several papers within well seismic, rock physics, EM and 4D seismic which he introduced to the North Sea Oseberg Field in 1988 as the first known marine application of 3D seismic monitoring.
Previously, Svein was Head Geophysicist and Project Manager EM in the Hydro O&E Research Centre in Bergen.
Richard Henman - VP Operations and Acquisition Technology
Richard began his career in the seismic industry in 1979 and has had a variety of roles in technical management and product commercialisation. More recently, he has worked outside of the seismic industry as a Production Manager and IT consultant before joining Wavefield Inseis as a Technical Advisor.
Richard holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Coventry University.
Rolf Smedal - VP Geology and Geophysics
Rolf graduated from the University of Bergen with a MSc. in Geology in 1990 and has 18 years experience with Hydro and StatoilHydro. He held the position of Principal Geologist and has been working as a production geologist and seismic interpreter. Before joining MultiField Geophysics he held the position of Leading Engineer in charge of geology/petrophysics for the Oseberg Fields.
Brian Anthony Farrelly - Senior Advisor R&D
Brian has a B.A in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, and a Cand. Real. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Bergen. He worked from 1979-1986 at the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen which later developed into the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Centre. From 1986-2007 he worked at the Hydro O&E Research Centre in Bergen. Initially, his work was mainly with potential field methods (grav-mag), and later rock-physics and fluid substitution.
He has been working with electromagnetic methods since 2003, first at Hydro and then after joining MultiField Geophysics in October 2007.
Gary Potter – Manager Business Development
Gary has 25 years of experience in the exploration business and has worked for many of the main seismic contractors. He brings a wealth of experience from seismic and EM data acquisition, seismic and EM data processing, reservoir characterisation, marketing and business development. Before joining MultiField Geophysics Gary was the Interpretation Manager at MTEM Ltd., responsible for feasibility studies, survey design, commercialisation of the processing software and data management.
Gary has an MSc in Exploration Geophysics from Imperial College London.
